Rathmines is back! After years being Dublin’s flatland, Rathmines has been reborn as one of the best spots to live in Dublin city.
As a local agent and a local Dubliner I can give you the best advice about this area if you are planning to move there.
Being just 30 minutes walk from the city centre it’s a great spot is making everyone’s life so easy.
The bus transportation is great, with an extensive network that reaches all of the important places in the city and on sunny days you can have a nice walk home after work or just get a bike, you’re only 7 minutes from Silicon Dock.
Do you like hanging out in a great place? Enjoy a truly unique cinema experience in the beautifully restored Stella Cinema, an iconic cinematic landmark. The cinema itself has been sympathetically restored to reflect the glamour and glitz of the 1920’s for an entirely new generation of movie-goers. Just reopened in 2018. In the cocktail bar you can taste good cocktails in a unique place.
There are many grocery shops, plus a range of shoe and clothing repair shops, laundries, hair and nail salons.
The centrally located Swan Shopping Centre offers a great range of shops and restaurants or if you would like to get a good swimming lesson I can recommend the Swan Leisure Centre.
It’s a great place for kids too. Belgrave Square playground and park are a perfect place for kids to play. There are also a wide range of childcare options with national providers like Giraffe Childcare, or if you prefer, plenty of other private Montessori around as well.
The residents care about their area, so the streets are quiet, clean and safe.
If you like to read, get a great book from a Rathmines Library and for music lessons, there is the Rathmines Music School just in front of the Clock Tower.
Rathmines offers something for everyone and its a perfect place to live, no matter what stage you’re at.
